Registration for the 2019 National Police Week 5K (NPW 5K) Run/Walk is now open. DSF and DSSAA (Diplomatic Security Special Agents Association) are sponsoring Team DS.

Join more than 2,000 runners and walkers in Washington D.C. at the National Police Week 5K, hosted by the Officer Down Memorial Page, to kick off Police Week as we run to remember the 23,000+ fallen officers who have given their lives in the line of duty in U.S. history. Proceeds benefit the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP) and Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), two organizations that honor fallen officers and provide support to their survivors.
Team DS:
Team DS is traditionally one of the largest teams to run/walk the NPW 5K. Last year, Team DS won the overall race with the fastest average time, calculated from each team's top three fastest times. DSS SA Josh Peterson finished 2nd place overall in the 5K. We invite all DS Employees, contractors, family members, and friends to come run as part of Team DS. Families and children are welcome and encouraged. Please see the links below for the schedule of events. There are formal events at Judiciary Square and informal events at RFK Stadium which include music and displays.
How to Participate:
If you wish to join Team DS at the NPW 5K in Washington, DC on Saturday, May 11th, please sign up HERE. The registration fee goes directly to support funds which support fallen LEOs. When you sign up, use Team Name “Diplomatic Security”.
In addition to the NPW 5K running shirt, you will receive a Team DS running shirt, paid for by DSSAA. DSSAA will handle all logistics for the 5K, you just need to register and show up. DSSAA will pick up all racing packets and shirts and provide them on the day of the 5K. At Post? Host your own NPW 5K:
NPW 5K allows overseas teams to register and participate. Traditionally, many overseas teams at post form their own teams and run a 5K during Police Week. Want a Team DS T-Shirt ? They can be purchased thru DSSAA HERE. (In order to get shirt to post prior to May 11th, all shirt orders for posts in by March 31st.) DSSAA is kindly giving all profits from the shirt sales to DSF.
